New Year's Eve (2009) at Watsons Bay!

Shah suddenly said, "Let's go!" So I last minute packed up and we head off to Watsons Bay to see the 9pm fireworks.

La Perouse with the kids this time!

We went to La Perouse one evening, Shah wants to explore the sunset with his D80, I put all the kids in their sweater and jacket and we head off.

BBQ on Christmas Day. Whatever as long as I dont have to cook! The kids play soccer -- The Team, The Player and the Cheerleaders LOL.

Christmas Lights 2008 at Matraville

Annual activity in December, to look for Christmas lights. But Matraville is the best suburb in the Easten part of Sydney and I find this year, the lights have become infectious. More houses are putting up lights and plastic Santas and all that gizmos. As for us, we just walk around and share the magic moment. Anyway, in the pic -- Sofea and Ashraf tersesat hehehe..

Gold Coast to Sydney-Forster

The last detour of the journey was Forster, it was just a place we found on the map and decided to follow the route. But it was all worth it! It was so such a beautiful and quite town with all modern amenities in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by the lakes.

Gold Coast to Sydney-Coffs Harbour

We reached Coffs Harbour around 5pm and straightaway checked in at Toreador Motel. Shah was so tired that we just decided to order the usual vegorama from Dominos. The next day we head off to the Big Banana, though the tobagon ride looks interesting we dont have time for that. We ordered the usual mocha with one sugar for Sha and cap with three sugar for me! Some choc chip muffin and banana muffin. We then head of to Clog's Barn and visited the miniature Dutch villages there. Though we went to Pet Porpoise Pool we decided not to enter coz we missed the morning 10am show and the next one it at 1pm. But we must head off ASAP

On the Friday we head off back by car, we stop at Surfers Paradise for a little bit for me to buy some fridge magnet and do some food shopping aka doritos. Gold Coast to Sydney-Movieworld

I guess the height of it all is at Movieworld. I dont know what have gotten into me but I went on all the rides except for the Batman. I was on Scooby Doo twice, on Lethal Weapon (really I felt dizzy afterwards and I refrained myself from screaming coz Im freakin terrified heheh), went on Superman with Mama Fizah (I screamt throughout but it was pretty quick though) and got on the Water Western ride or sthing into the water. Pretty good coz I kinda know what to expect this time. Its kinda like delivering a baby, its f******* s*** but u know its gonna end. heheh now I can boast about it. While Mama Fizah and I take the rides, our hubby were taking care of the kiddos. Shah wouldnt even get on Superman this time. Mama Fizah the extreme lady was on Batman twice, Lethal Weapon twice, Scooby Doo twice! Well, the oictures here I must say are tribute to Superman!

Gold Coast to Sydney-Brisbane

The third day we drive up to Brisbane. The city is the emergence of both Sydney and Melbourne. As usual we went up the gallery first -- Gallery of Modern Art (Goma), then the museum and walked a little bit in the city. We managed to have lunch at a very nice Malaysian restaurant/cafe and I had kueyteow, really like the Msian ones, of course it is AUD9! Not to mention the secure parking cost us AUD49! What to do.. one time thing maaaaa...

The next day we spent it at Seaworld. It was great for the kids and we had loads of fun. The shows were great and I love the dolphin show most. The kids enjoyed Bert and Ernie and of course the sea lion show. We saw amost everything and even took the monorail ride and went to the water park adjacent to it.

Gold Coast to Sydney

After a few months of planning the day finally came when we have to get on Jetstar at 6:15am to Gold Coast. I did not even realized that GC time is reverted I one before. I thought the flight was longer than it suppose to be. The boarding pass says that we will arrive at 6:45 am, so I thought the flight was mere 1/2 hr. But anyway, we got our rented car from Avis and headed to Budds Beach resort at Surfers Paradise (but we couldnt couldnt check in yet!), Shah slept in the car for an hr or so, the kids were also sleeping to make up for the last nights sleep. Then I called Mama Fizah, who was staying at Holiday Inn nearby and we all head off to Harbourtown, so called biggest DFO on the coast.

Outing to the City (various weekends)

Various pictures of our weekend/holiday activities in Sydney. Basically going to the city and have a walk around. Darling Harbour is a popular spot, but I managed to bring the kids to the very cheap book store under Central Station and grab a few kids books.

Aalya's 2008 School Pictures (from Anna at ABC)

Ididnt take any pictures during Aalya's school End of Year/Xmas/Disco Party. The battery died! Hahah.. and the usual photographer is not there. But Anna, her teacher handed me a CD, of all of Aalya's pictures throughout the year. Which is so sweet and kinda unprecedented.. love to see her in action. I pray that I could be there for her (and of course my Khadijah and future kids heheh) all their life and all aspects of life... They are SO special.. I pray that moments like this, I could remember forever.Insyaallah..

Bubbles at FOX Studios

Another activity, when Shah has to work on weekends or if I get extremely bored.. We go to Fox Studios. They have a market on Weds, Sat and Sun. I will get my regular 3 sugar Cappucino and then watch them play at the park. Sometimes we get gozleme!
